Don't Let Them Intimidate You
Jeremiah 1: 17 "But you, gird up your lions! Arise and tell them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed; and break down at the sight of their faces, lest I confound you before them and permit you to be overcome."
God has given a message to Jeremiah and wants Him to obey and not allow man to make him afraid. It is a must to obey God if we want to reap the rewards of a blessed life. God is telling Jeremiah to get ready for a battle and not to be afraid or perplexed.
Believe me, there will always be an apposing side in whatever God ask us to do. But, we have the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome. Of course, we have an enemy that does every thing he can to stop us from doing what God has commanded. It has happened in my life. There have been those whom I thought were my friend, and then someone would warn me that behind the scenes their tongue has tried to stop me from what the Lord has told me to do. Remember God said, “Do not be dismayed.” To give up because of them is to bring correction from the Lord. Be it a jealous spirit, nonetheless it is a spirit that tries to intimidate and stop us from moving on in the Service to God.
I love verse 19, it says, “They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you. For I AM with you, says the LORD, to deliver you.”
Be encouraged today, whatever you are doing for the Lord, just “Do It.” He will wrap us in His covering of protection and every enemy will have to answer to God when touching God’s anointed. We must listen to God.
