The Orphanage of Sin

Scripture: John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Overview:
The only way to seek fulfillment in this life is to allow God to break the chains of darkness, and live in freedom from bondage in the Kingdom of God. We must not forget the pit that God brought us from, and remember to praise Him that we are set free, if we belong to His family.

My heart weighs heavy over the sins of the world and how many people fail to submit to God's Spirit. Many years ago, while I was teaching a class in Dallas, the Lord opened my eyes. I envisioned masses of humanity lost in agony and bondage. It was then the Lord revealed the analogy of the Orphanage of Sin, people as orphans without a home or family. They were seeking fulfillment in all the wrong places. Many of them were chained in cold and dark prison cells. However, as the cloud of deception lifted from the hearts of those who accepted the love of God’s Son, their chains fell off and they were set free from their bondage.

My mind flashed back to the time God delivered me from the place I refer to as my Orphanage of Sin. I remembered the pain in my life as I searched aimlessly until I surrendered to the God of creation, who is now the lover of my soul. At that time I was unhappy and incapable of finding peace and direction in my life. God's Holy Spirit revealed to me that He had a wonderful plan for me. He promised, if I agreed to His plan, that I would be transformed and live in a brand new home, "The Mansion of Righteousness." Immediately, I accepted His wonderful plan of deliverance and, at that very moment, my bondage was lifted and I was transformed.

I knew that my past life of sin was washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ as a transformation took place in my heart. I ask God to forgive me of my sins and submitted to His plan. My life became brand new. He gave me purpose, and I was ready to move on with my new life and my future.

He set me free from my old Orphanage of Sin and gave me a brand new home, “The Mansion of Righteousness.”

Right then, I just bowed on my knees and thanked God for Calvary.

Thanks to Calvary, I do not live in my old Orphanage of Sin anymore. I am now set free by the power of God.

Jesus has openly displayed His love to the whole world by shedding His blood on that old rugged cross. His acts of love for mankind defeated the powers of darkness and the chains of bondage. The Word says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, and that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Praise God, for the Love of God.

If you have never been born again or, if you are not sure, would you please settle that today? Pray with me.

"Lord God, I know that I have sinned, and I ask you to forgive me of my sins right now. I know you paid the price for me to be set free. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. I invite you into my life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you, Father, for helping me find direction and purpose for my life. Amen."

Invite Him into your life and He will reside in you, and live through you.

Surrender today. You are on the threshold of new beginnings. Step on over, and come in!

Share what God has done for you.

Let us hear from you.

Study God’s Word. Pray, and seek His face.

I pray God will lead you to a church that teaches the whole truth, and is filled with the Spirit of God.

I ask the love of God to surround you, and fill you with His Holy Spirit.

Meditate on God’s Word:

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God."

Hebrews 9:27 "...and as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved though faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast."

Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of God."

Romans 5:18 "Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life."

Romans 6:18 "Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."

Romans 6:20 "For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness."

Romans 6:22 "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."

John 1:12 "For as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name."

Song: Take a quiet time break and worship God with this old song.

The Love of God
Song Lyrics by Frederick Lehman 1948

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints' and angels' song.

When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God's love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam's race-
The saints' and angels' song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
