IN WHO WE HAVE REDEMPTION
Redemption and the forgiveness of sins form a spiritual blessing. Redemption comes from a word which means that the full ransom price has been paid. The price was Christ's blood. Peter wrote, "For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1Peter:18,19)
The result is the forgiveness of sins. The blood of Jesus Christ is sufficient to cleanse a person from every sin. There is no sin too great but that it can be cleansed by blood of Christ. God is waiting to forgive everyone who will put his faith in Jesus Christ. Many think that God is eager and waiting to punish, while the truth of scripture is that God is eager and waiting to forgive and cleanse the person who will come just as he is to Christ. The old hymn is true; "What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus can cleanse me and make me whole.
"In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness’ of sins, according to the riches of His grace"(Ephesians 1:7)
If you will come to Christ confessing your sins, then His blood will wash you and make you clean?
There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn for Immanuel's veins;
And sinners plunged beneath that blood;
Lose all their guilty stains
Amen! Amen!
